By combining intentional tongue gestures and subtle head movements, users can complete a full range of digital functions—from moving on-screen cursors, clicking, and scrolling to executing more advanced commands—all without relying on their hands or arms.
The commercial launch comes after a multi-year real-world testing phase, where more than 100 participants with mobility impairments integrated the device into their daily lives to provide feedback and refine its functionality. The first commercially available version of MouthPad includes upgraded features, adding support for custom keyboard shortcuts and basic gaming controls that expand its use beyond work and communication into recreational activities.
The device is targeted primarily at people living with paralysis, limb loss, spinal cord injuries, and a range of other chronic conditions that impair upper-body mobility.
