Kinderhartmissie AZP en LUMC maakt steeds complexere operaties in Suriname mogelijk

A cross-border collaboration between two leading medical institutions has delivered life-changing care to young patients born with complex congenital heart defects in Suriname, marking another milestone in the annual pediatric heart outreach initiative run by the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) of the Netherlands. The medical team involved says that growing collective experience and deepening on-the-ground partnership have now made it possible to perform increasingly complex procedures that were previously out of reach for local patients.
