A transformative new collaborative agreement between Barbados’ flagship public healthcare facility, Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), and three higher education institutions from the Caribbean and South Asia is set to expand access to advanced digital health tools, elevate clinical research training, and revolutionize medical education across the region, institutional leaders confirmed this week. The memorandum of understanding was formalized Tuesday, bringing together the public University of the West Indies (UWI), Barbados-based private medical school the American University of Barbados (AUB), and Era University, a private medical educator based in Lucknow, the capital of India’s northern Uttar Pradesh state.
