ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA – October 22, 2026 – Aspiring musical creators across the Caribbean and beyond have only a short window left to secure their spot at the upcoming Antigua Songwriting Workshop, as the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC) issues a final reminder that registration will close soon.
Scheduled to run from November 24 to 27, 2026, this four-day immersive professional development experience will be hosted at the Eustace Hill Campus in Coolidge, the former site of the Antigua and Barbuda International Institute of Technology. Daily sessions are scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break planned from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day to allow participants to recharge and network with peers.
What sets this workshop apart from general industry events is its hands-on curriculum, led by two of the Caribbean’s most respected established music professionals: Kitwana Israel and Emmanuel Rudder. Over the course of the four days, attendees will not only gain insider perspective on the rapidly shifting global music landscape but also get the rare chance to walk through every step of creating a new work – from initial concept and lyrical drafting to final recording and long-term career development for the track.
ABFC has emphasized that organizers have kept cohort sizes small to ensure personalized mentorship, leaving only a handful of spots unclaimed as of this announcement. Interested songwriters, vocalists, and independent music creators can submit their registration via WhatsApp at (268) 727-9201. Commission officials urge early submission to avoid missing out on this career-shaping opportunity for emerging music talent.
