This year’s official theme, “From Policy to Practice: Powering Maritime Excellence,” aligns with a multi-year strategic focus from the International Maritime Organization (IMO): the 2026–2027 thematic framework prioritizes translating international maritime standards into enforceable national legislation, consistent on-the-ground implementation, targeted workforce training, and embedded equitable practices across every level of daily operations.
