The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, November 14, 2025, when James was fatally shot inside his home by unidentified attackers. Acting Superintendent Chaucer James, head of the Criminal Investigation Department, confirmed the details and urged the public to assist with the ongoing investigation. A man previously held in custody has been released pending further inquiries. Superintendent James emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully, stating that such violent behavior is detrimental to society.
