Earlier on Monday, police initiated a homicide investigation into the death of Uriah Fields, a 42-year-old security guard and fisherman from Diamond. Fields was fatally shot near the ‘Racetrack’ in his community on Sunday night. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Fields motionless with apparent gunshot injuries.
