Two remanded on aggravated burglary charge

Two residents of Dodds Land in St Philip have been placed behind bars pending their next court appearance after facing aggravated burglary charges at the District ‘A’ Traffic Court this Wednesday.

Jason Kevin Marshall, 41, and Makeda Aja Latasha Kirton, 38, appeared before Acting Magistrate Jared Richards for their initial hearing. Under standard procedures for indictable offenses, the pair were not required to enter a formal plea during this first court appearance.

Prosecutors allege the criminal incident took place on October 13, 2026, with stolen property totaling an estimated value of $14,600.76. Following the brief hearing, Acting Magistrate Richards ordered both defendants to be remanded into prison custody. They are scheduled to make their next appearance before the court on November 18, 2026, as the legal process moves forward.
