In a targeted law enforcement operation carried out in Suriname, local police have taken six individuals into custody following a routine stop of a suspicious vehicle near a gold concession in the remote area of Maripaston. Law enforcement officers recovered a broad array of weaponry during the search, including a pistol, a homemade fully automatic machine gun, and a hunting rifle.
