The official alert was issued by the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services at 7:34 p.m. local time on Saturday, covering not just the twin-island nation but also neighboring Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis and Anguilla. The watch will remain in place until 12 p.m. August 30, with meteorologists continuing to track the weather system’s progression across the region.

Forecasters confirm that the unsettled weather pattern driving this event is directly linked to the lingering remnants of Tropical Storm Dolly. The system is projected to push consistent heavy rainfall across the affected area through Sunday, with projected total accumulations ranging between 2 and 5 inches across most zones.
