Youth Arise Antigua Supports Single-Parent Family Ahead of New School Year

As Antigua and Barbuda prepares for the start of a new academic year, local youth-led community organization Youth Arise Antigua has kicked off its targeted support initiative for low-income families, delivering a full set of school supplies and daily necessities to a local single-parent household. This recent donation is just the first step in the group’s long-standing mission to lift up vulnerable communities across the twin-island nation, rooted in its core commitment to grassroots public service that delivers tangible, positive change for residents.

The project was spearheaded by Samantha Toussaint, Youth Arise Antigua’s Assistant Secretary, whose consistent dedication and organizational coordination turned the plan into a successful delivery that directly addressed the household’s back-to-school needs. In a public statement following the donation, the organization extended sincere gratitude to both its general membership and external community donors, who provided in-kind contributions of school materials and other essential items to make the effort possible.

“Every contribution, regardless of size, brings us closer to lifting up our neighbors and improving lives across our country,” the group noted. “The generosity of every supporter does not go unrecognized or unappreciated.” Looking ahead, Youth Arise Antigua framed this initial donation as the launch pad for a much broader outreach campaign. As the organization continues to expand its membership and community reach, it plans to extend support to dozens more struggling families across Antigua and Barbuda in the coming months.
