After more than five years evading law enforcement, one of the region’s wanted fugitives has ended his period on the run through a voluntary surrender to authorities in Barbados.
Nicholas Andre McIntosh, who was formally named in a high-profile “Wanted Man” bulletin released by law enforcement officials on April 16, 2021, turned himself in over the weekend alongside his legal representation.
According to official statements from the Barbados Police Service, McIntosh arrived at the District ‘E’ Police Station on Saturday, accompanied by his attorney-at-law. He is currently cooperating with investigating officers as they work through the details of the serious criminal matters connected to his case.
In a public statement following the surrender, the Barbados Police Service extended its gratitude to members of the general public and local media outlets for their ongoing support and assistance throughout the manhunt. The cooperation from both groups, officials noted, played a key role in bringing the years-long search for McIntosh to a close.
