46 Haitians have received scholarships to study in Taiwan (2026-2027) (list)

In a collaborative selection initiative organized by Haiti’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Taipei Representative Office in Haiti, 46 Haitian scholars have earned prestigious scholarships to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies in Taiwan for the 2026-2027 academic year. Cheng-hao Hu, the top Taiwanese representative in Port-au-Prince, formally recognized the successful candidates in an official ceremony, presenting each student with their scholarship award certificates and offering formal congratulations on their achievement.

Of the 46 selected recipients, 43 will pursue their studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Taiwan Scholarship Program, a flagship initiative funded directly by the Taiwanese government to support international students. The remaining three students received awards through the International Higher Education Scholarship Program administered by the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF), the island nation’s lead agency for international development and educational cooperation. This year’s cohort marks another year of expanded educational ties between Haiti and Taiwan, opening new academic and professional pathways for young Haitian scholars seeking advanced training across multiple disciplines.
