BodyHoliday collabs with SLSA to support holistic development

A new strategic partnership between the Saint Lucia Sports Academy (SLSA) and leading local wellness hospitality brand BodyHoliday is set to transform the holistic growth of SLSA’s student-athlete population, after the two organizations signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding this Tuesday at BodyHoliday’s Cap Estate campus.

Owned and operated by Saint Lucian stakeholders, BodyHoliday has built a decades-long reputation as a premier wellness destination in the Caribbean. Under the terms of the newly formalized agreement, the resort will draw on its in-house team of global wellness experts to roll out a year-long calendar of educational and hands-on programs tailored to the unique needs of emerging student-athletes. These initiatives span critical areas that directly impact athletic performance and long-term personal growth: preventive sports healthcare, evidence-based athletic nutrition, optimized performance training, injury risk mitigation, and soft skill personal development. Beyond athletic benefits, the partnership also opens doors for students to explore career pathways in the fast-growing Caribbean wellness and hospitality sectors, connecting young talent with on-the-ground industry experience.

The official signing ceremony doubled as the launch of the first program under the agreement: SLSA students were treated to a guided tour of BodyHoliday’s state-of-the-art wellness facilities, giving them an up-close look at industry-leading operations that served as an immersive learning experience for all participants.

Speaking at the event, SLSA Program Director Anthony Lamontagne emphasized that the formal MoU is the latest milestone in a growing multi-year relationship between the two organizations. “SLSA was founded to nurture emerging talent, creating an enriched environment where student-athletes can grow, develop, and hit their maximum potential,” Lamontagne explained. “If we’re being honest, SLSA is still an unpolished gem. Over the past several years, BodyHoliday—one of the country’s leading institutions—has stepped up repeatedly to help us polish that gem. We are incredibly grateful for this ongoing opportunity.”

Yhasmine Remy-Hylton, General Manager of BodyHoliday, echoed that enthusiasm, noting that the collaboration aligns seamlessly with the resort’s core organizational mission. “BodyHoliday’s purpose is to change people’s lives one person at a time, and we deliver on that by sharing the gift of wellness with the world,” Remy-Hylton said. “We see wellness as a gift that it is our obligation and our passion to spread as far and wide as we can.

“Today is such a happy day for the entire BodyHoliday team. We’ve already built the foundation of this relationship over time, but this agreement lets us formalize our commitment, put faces to the names of the incredible students we get to work with, and deepen our work together. We are so excited to welcome SLSA into the BodyHoliday family.”
