Woman reports rape at ex-boyfriend’s house

Law enforcement officers in Point Fortin are pursuing a full-scale criminal investigation after a 19-year-old local woman filed a formal report alleging she was the victim of a sexual assault at the home of her former romantic partner. The survivor first brought the forward to frontline officers at the Point Fortin Police Station on Wednesday, submitting a detailed, firsthand account of the events that unfolded earlier that month. Per the official account the young woman provided to investigators, her ex-boyfriend reached out to her via the social media platform Instagram on the morning of October 12, requesting an in-person conversation and offering to send a vehicle to pick her up for the meeting. Later that evening, at approximately 9 p.m., the ex-boyfriend arrived outside her family home alongside a second male acquaintance, traveling in a silver Nissan Almera sedan. The woman agreed to ride with the pair back to her former boyfriend’s private residence to have the discussion he had proposed. Once inside the property, the woman was alone in a bedroom with her ex-partner when his friend unexpectedly entered the space and initiated a sexual attack against her. The survivor told police she immediately raised her voice to demand both men cease the non-consensual act. While her ex-boyfriend complied with her demands and stopped his involvement, the accompanying man allegedly ignored her repeated, urgent protests and continued to rape her for an extended period. The suspect eventually halted the assault before driving the woman back to her own home, leaving her ex-boyfriend behind at the residence where the incident took place. As part of the active probe, detectives have formally recorded the woman’s full sworn statement, and coordinated with local medical service providers to schedule a timely forensic medical examination of the survivor to gather physical evidence that could support potential criminal charges. Authorities have not yet made any arrests related to the alleged incident, and have asked any witnesses with additional information about the events of October 12 to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
