China expresses commitment to supporting Dominican Republic’s development

In a recent address delivered at a high-profile Beijing gathering focused on China-Latin America and Caribbean engagement, China’s special representative for Latin American affairs Qiu Xiaoqi has announced that China stands ready to continue extending support for the Dominican Republic’s ongoing economic and social advancement.

The meeting, themed “Jointly Promoting Global Governance and Building a Shared Future for China, Latin America and the Caribbean,” was organized as a core activity of an international initiative that brings together influential Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking social media opinion leaders from across the globe.

Qiu noted that since China and the Dominican Republic formally established diplomatic relations, the bilateral partnership has undergone a period of rapid, all-around expansion. This growth has not only deepened mutual political trust between the two governments but also delivered tangible, shared benefits to the populations of both countries. Moving forward, Qiu emphasized that China is eager to collaborate with Dominican governmental authorities to broaden collaborative projects across a wide range of sectors, cementing the foundation of the positive bilateral relationship for years to come.
