Barbados’ push to elevate youth football at the community and school level has reached a key milestone, with 28 local teachers and coaches successfully finishing the opening segment of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) D Diploma coaching certification. Targeted specifically at raising the quality of instruction for young aspiring footballers, this four-day intensive program ran from September 21 to 24, and was developed in partnership with the Barbados Schools Football League. The curriculum centered on building a foundational understanding of how to design and deliver organized, age-appropriate training sessions for youth players between the ages of six and 12.
