Seven Charged With Firearm, Ammunition and Drug Offences After Green Bay Hill Police Operation

In a major crackdown on illegal weapons and narcotics activity in Antigua and Barbuda, law enforcement officials have secured charges against seven individuals following a coordinated police operation held in the Green Bay Hill area on Friday, September 4, 2026. The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda announced the results of the operation in an official media release issued Monday, September 7 from the force’s Office of Strategic Communications. Three of the defendants – 30-year-old Tyricke John, 28-year-old Kameco Elvin, and 23-year-old Kevorn Pennyfeather, all residents of Green Bay Hill – face joint charges for unlawful possession of a Smith & Wesson .38 Special revolver alongside five rounds of matching ammunition. In a second set of charges connected to the same operation, the same three men plus 33-year-old Geovanie Francis have been hit with joint charges of one count of unlawful firearm possession and two counts of unlawful ammunition possession. These charges stem from the police recovery of a Diamondback DB9 9mm pistol and 14 rounds of 9mm ammunition seized during the operation. Separately, two other defendants have been charged in connection with illegal cannabis activity: 32-year-old Shane Francis, a Green Bay resident, and 43-year-old Ariel Carr from Potters. The pair face joint charges of unlawful possession of 317 grams of cannabis, as well as possession of cannabis with the intent to supply it to others. All seven accused individuals are scheduled to appear before a local court this week to formally respond to the charges laid against them. In the release, police leadership reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to continuing proactive, community-focused crime-fighting operations across the islands.
