The announcement, which was shared across the team’s official social media channels, website and distributed to registered ticketholders earlier this week, comes as organizers work to ensure a safe, secure and enjoyable experience for every fan, player, staff member and official in attendance. Team officials emphasized that updated security protocols have been put in place this season, with expanded bag checks and walk-through metal screening at all entrance points to the venue, to prevent restricted items from entering the facility.
Among the most notable prohibited items are outside alcohol and illicit controlled substances, which have long been banned at most professional and collegiate sports venues. The Falcons have also explicitly banned weapons of any kind — including firearms, knives, pepper spray and even replica toy weapons that could be mistaken for real dangerous devices — along with large hard-sided coolers, oversized bags that exceed the venue’s 12x6x12 inch size requirement, and outside food and beverages with the exception of sealed bottled water and pre-packaged snacks for guests with specific dietary medical needs.
Additional restricted items include professional-grade photography and video equipment, drones, noisemakers such as air horns and vuvuzelas, laser pointers, and any large items that could block spectator sightlines or act as a potential hazard in crowded concourses. The organization also noted that fans attempting to bring any prohibited item into the venue will not be allowed to enter until the item is removed, and there is no on-site storage available for restricted belongings, meaning ticketholders will need to plan ahead to avoid being turned away at the gate.
