The event’s core mission goes far beyond on-pitch competition: organizers have set a bold fundraising target of at least $50,000, with all proceeds earmarked for critical infrastructure upgrades at primary and secondary schools across Barbados. Spread across four consecutive weekends of competition, the tournament will see teams battle through group stages and knockout rounds to claim the championship title, while advancing shared efforts to improve learning environments for local students.
The opening matchday delivered the tournament’s most lopsided result, as home side Oasis All Stars put on a clinical display to shut out Ocean Hotels Barbados by a staggering 7-0 scoreline. The seven-goal margin of victory marks the widest win recorded across the opening two days of competition, setting an early high bar for other contenders to match.
Saturday’s other opening round matches produced a spread of close and exciting results: St James Travel & Tours, Sunlinc, and Five Star Fast Track played out a 2-2 draw with Hilton Barbados, while Barbados Yacht Club secured a 3-1 win over Apes Hill. Hotel Indigo fell 0-1 to Wyndham Grand, and The Mango Bay Group notched a 3-1 victory over Montrose Holding Ltd. GAIA closed out Saturday’s play with a narrow 2-1 win against Sandpiper.
Sunday’s action continued to deliver competitive matches across the board. Accra put on an unbeatable offensive performance to defeat the combined side of Harbour Lights, Cocktail Kitchen and UVA 4-0. Aventa Ltd earned a clean sheet 2-0 win over The Club, and Caribbean Aircraft Handling followed that example with a 2-0 shutout of Coral Reef. The combined side of BHTA, Stansfield Scott and NSC claimed a 2-1 win over Barbados Port Inc, while Foster & Ince, Tiami Cruises edged out The Crane Resort 1-0. The final match of the weekend ended in a goalless draw between Barbados Marriott Collection and Barbados Conference Services Ltd.
