Released via the force’s Office of Strategic Communications on Tuesday, April 7, the update outlines the current status of the victims impacted by the violence. Among those injured, one 20-year-old man remains a patient at St. John’s Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where clinical teams are preparing him for an upcoming surgery to address traumatic injuries to his hand and thigh. The remaining individuals hurt in the incident have already completed their initial medical care and been released from the hospital to recover at home.
To date, law enforcement has not publicly announced any arrests in connection with the shooting. Investigative teams are continuing to work through evidence and leads to identify all individuals responsible for the attack and take them into custody.
