Revelers danced, doused each other with powder, and frolicked in foam as they moved along Coffee Street to Cipero Street, creating a festive atmosphere that captivated the city. The event was heavily policed to ensure safety, with officers managing the enthusiastic crowds. Among the attendees was Patsy Calliste, wife of the late calypsonian Leroy ‘Black Stalin’ Calliste, who, along with her grandson Keevan Calliste, enjoyed the colorful festivities.
