The 14th edition of the Dominican Film Festival in New York (DFFNYC) is set to commence on October 23, 2023, with the international premiere of *Los Rechazados: Operación Submarino*, directed by Yasser Michelén. The opening event will take place at the iconic United Palace Theater in Washington Heights, New York. This year’s festival, themed *“Crossing Borders,”* promises to be the largest showcase of Dominican cinema outside the Dominican Republic, featuring over 70 films.
