On Tuesday afternoon, an Embraer 190 aircraft operated by Sky High Airlines executed an emergency landing at José Francisco Peña Gómez Las Américas International Airport (AILA) in Santo Domingo. The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. when the plane encountered a technical issue with its nose landing gear. Fortunately, all seven individuals on board, who were part of a test flight rather than a regular commercial operation, emerged unscathed. Airport authorities confirmed that operations continued without significant disruption, utilizing the alternate runway 18-36.
