The crash unfolded shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday, June 8, along Codrington Road in the parish of St. Michael, according to official statements from local law enforcement. The deceased has been named as Juon Aloysius Heywood, a resident of Upper Durants Village, Holders Hill, in St. James.
Police confirmed the incident involved two motor vehicles traveling in opposite directions when the impact occurred. First responders attended the scene shortly after the collision was reported, but Heywood could not be saved from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
