As of October 29, 2025, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that Melissa’s center was located near latitude 20.3°N and longitude 76.1°W, with maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h and gusts reaching even higher speeds. The hurricane was moving westward at 12 mph (19 km/h), with a projected path that would take it across eastern Cuba, the southeastern Bahamas, and near Bermuda by late Thursday.
